Soft Radio Design

The broad range of communication systems are almost all based on FPGA, MPU, MCU, DSC and DSP SoC technologies along with deeply embedded software to provide control, signal processing and message routing. A variety of algorithms can be processed by the combination of SoC processors and either UNISON or DSPnano to support the development of standards based or custom radio transceivers.

By having modular building blocks for functions like this, more tried, proven and reliable systems can be assembled quickly and easily. Often, these algorithms are expressed in more general matrix formulations and more general matrix math support is provided depending on the processor style and the vendor customer base.
