IAR Embedded Workbench is the most universally used IDE for embedded microprocessor and microcontroller development. It supports a broad set of hardware and debugging options. Unson RTOS debugging facilities are integrated with IAR in the following ways. First there is build environments which use the IAR compiler and use the IAR IDE for debugging. Second, the Remedy OS Viewer is integrated into IAR. Third, the secure bootloader for remote field service is also integrated with IAR.
IAR versions include EWARM or Embedded WorkBench for ARM and Embedded WorkBench for RX64N from Renesas. These toolchains are roughly equal and both offer great capabilities for the respective processors. Unison RTOS and Remedy tools work equally well with both versions.
Commonly seen as the best IDE available, IAR is used by many. It is supported on virtually all recent developments for Unison RTOS. For more details on IAR support in Unison RTOS and Remedy tools please consult the factory.
