Dual Licensing

RoweBots dual licensing offers both open source and commercial licenses for its products.  The overall goal of this approach is to strongly promote open standards for smaller MCU, DSC and DSP processors so that greater software reuse and savings can be achieved by all OEM developers.

The details of the dual licensing are found under the licensing heading in the products menu.  A brief summary is provided here.

The open source license component of the dual licensing is generally for the previous version of the DSPnano or Unison software.  It is completely free for the components offered with the exception of the TCP module, which is only free for non commercial use.   Additional documentation can be purchased for these versions at low cost and source code is free for those that purchased the additional documentation or have a commercial license.

The commercial license dual license component augments the offering considerably with much better documentation, extended operating system features, a large set of add on modules, commercial support, training and customization.

Dual licensing is the key to great OEM products and options for MCUs, DSCs and DSPs.
