7.32.4.Remedy Power On Self Test - POST #

NAME

Remedy Power On Self Test – POST

SYNOPSIS

The Remedy power on self test (POST) tests the MCU at startup for correct operation.

DESCRIPTION

The Remedy POST provides startup testing services for MCUs, for remote field service. It works with any MCU with minor customization and ensures that the code will execute properly on the MCU before full operation begins.

The Remedy POST features include:

  • Core register testing
  • Arithmetic testing
  • Pointer testing
  • Memory testing for single and multiple bit errors.
  • Timer testing
  • Interrupt testing

RETURN VALUES

None – POST is a complete application.

ERRORS

All errors are handled by the POST application. Users program specific error responses.

NOTES

Consult the factory if you require details on POST for your environment.
